FAQs
What kind of counselling do you offer?

I offer humanistic counselling. This means that I aim to sensitively attune to your experience of yourself in the world as we explore anything about you, your life and your identity; the thoughts, feelings and experiences that have caused you pain and distress as well as those that have brought you hope, satisfaction and happiness. I offer both support and challenge to what emerges in our sessions to draw awareness to the way that you operate and how this impacts your life.
I offer weekly 50 minute sessions. The first one is offered at a reduced rate of £40 and provides an opportunity for us to meet and get a sense of how it feels to be together. It allows me to have an understanding of what is bringing you to counselling and what you are seeking from our work together. It gives you an opportunity to ask any questions and see if you think you would like to work with me. There is no obligation to commit to any further sessions.

If you choose to continue the fees are £60 per session. I work with clients on either a short term or open ended basis either in person at The Wilbury Clinic, Upper Floors, 109 Church Road, Hove, or online.

How can counselling help me?
Counselling provides the opportunity to explore any thoughts, feelings or experiences that might be difficult to talk about with people that you already know. Whilst I don't offer advice, the space to talk through things with a counsellor committed to understanding you can deepen your understanding of whatever issues you are facing and help you cope with them. Through working together I hope to enable you find new meanings or perspectives, gain self-acceptance and discover what other choices you may have.
